You have free time too!

In Ireland they have some days called Bank Holidays. These are like the normal "dias festivos" in Spain and this last Monday was one of them. So some friends and I decided to travel a bit. We rented a car and we went from Dublin to Cork. We saw everything we could before it was to late (it is night at 17:00 already) and then we moved again to a different town to sleep. Just like in Spain, when there are some holidays every hostel has no vacancies.

Car time lapse from Dublin to Cork

We woke up the earlier we could and headed to Galway. In Galway I saw one of the most beautiful places I have seen in Ireland, the cliffs of Moher. And luckily it was a super sunny day. After that the we went to Galway city and we did the same as in Cork.

As dangerous as beautiful

It was super fun because we were all friends but I have to admit that it was a bit of a mess. We didn't plan anything and we were just sightseeing whatever we though it was important. And it was also super cold, especially at night.

Something that surprised me a bit was that the roads were super tight. At some points the road could only fit one car. It felt like wherever you were going, you were heading to a small village. We spend a lot of time in the car but it was definitely worth it.

  1. There are lots of narrow and winding roads in Ireland indeed. And the country is very beautiful of course. It's great that you take advantage like this of your stay there.
